I played the BC2 beta and it lagged but I didn't play on lowest settings and a shit resolution. I was just wondering, will my pc run it in 800x600 on low settings (and can you force AA off). Here are my specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs)
2046MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS (384mb)
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio
Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

Want to get it so bad but, if I can't even run it in mega shit gfx then there's no point.

Should run alright at a decent resolution on low (1680x1050 will give you maybe 30 fps) but you need to upgrade that graphics card. Overclocking the CPU will help a lot too.

That pcs practically worse than mine, and I'm getting that fps at 1280x1024

in the beta I wasn't able to turn AA off (to 0) and I heard you could force it to 0 in cfg files. Is this true as I'm guessing this might help a lot if I decide to take the risk in buying it.

Yeah you can force it to 0, but 1x is basically off. It'll only grab you a few fps at best.

Finny is right, it'll be relatively smooth as long as you don't expect to have anything set above low, when you've installed it be sure to disable bloom, HBAO and whatnot to get the FPS up, I'm running a similar rig to yours except my e6600 is running at 3.2ghz and I have an 8800GT, I get ~50FPS average @ 1680x1050, it stutters like a motherfucker if there's masses of particle effects so just look away when all thats going on

All that said I am on Win7 and there's been a few performance advances with the newer DX versions, my mates still on XP and his 8800GTX doesn't run anything like as well as mine and his rig is near identical to mine, in fact his it marginally better, he's almost all low @ 1680x1050 to get the same FPS as me.

I have the same processor as you overclocked to 3.2GHz and a 8800GT. I get 40-60 fps regardless of graphics settings or DX level. You should be quite fine.

I run it fine on my MacBook Pro (old one) with 512 MB graphics mem on 9800, Dual core 2.4 GHz, and 2 GB RAM...

Depends on ur processor, really.. Radeon 5770 HD is the best value for money card atm, unless you can find a used 4890 HD, but both are useless if you have an old processor

And absolutely yes its worth getting 4GB ram.. 2GB is kinda little for todays games
