Anyway here's 2 of my Space Marines. Got a box of 10 out of the blue, along with 4 paints, and decided to try making and painting some for the first time in about 6 years.
So here's my first 2 so far. Pretty rough but i'm hoping to improve as I go along.
My next guy is going to be white.
Finally fixed the tail rotor and main rotor onto my Mi-26, just need to paint up some of the parts on it, add the doors, add the little details and then attempt to add the horrendously complicated decals.
it's official. one of these is coming in the mail tomorrow. my christmas present

Awesome paint job on that model. In my current state, I would never have the patience to do that.ruisleipa wrote:

I do have this
that I want to build sometime soon. Maybe I'll make a space out in the garage come spring.
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
I gave up on plastic models a long time agobecause they got smashed on way or the other, so I went to the basement and found the wooden model that my grandfather (R.I.P.) never had the chance to finish. So i took it up to my room and dusted it off and set my mind to complete it, grandad would appreciate it! There is no plastic whatsoever, everything is made out of wood, the ladders are real hennep wires, ankers and canons from brass. It's on my shelve now for a couple of months so it's a little dusty.
Look what came in the mail today.
It's huge. Bigger than I was expecting too.
14" tall and 22" wingspan.
Excuse the shit camera phone pic.
It looks like this:
So much detail everywhere. I paid about $280US including shipping for it. Worth it too.
Only 470 in this colour were made and I got one.
Cthulhu by SOTA looks great.

My roommate from college designed the conformal fueltanks for that version of the F-16.ruisleipa wrote:

Small note: Shouldn't have US markings, as the US never bought it.

but seriously you should do some dusting!
Finally got round to taking some pics of my fave model. Annoying that the decals were crappy as you can see the circles aren't aligned properly. And yeah it's sa bit dusty too I should get a glass case or something.
What's that, the F-16E that they use in the UAE?FEOS wrote:

I remember reading about some new version of the F16 designed for some Indian competition:
"F-16IN Super Viper"
F-16 for the US is pretty much finished though, right? It's all F-35 from here on..?
A shame too. The F-16 is a beauty.

*that's what she said.
Pretty much. Conformal fuel tanks were first put on the Hellenic AF F-16s (Block 52, IIRC). My roommate was the chief aerodynamic designer on the F-35, as well. He's doing quite well for himself.Mekstizzle wrote:
