random comment: i just noticed that if a poll is active (i.e. i hadn't clicked on an option yet), the karma options were not there. they appeared only after i selected something.

Duplicate accounts are explicitly prohibited in the rules, anyone found creating them for any reason get automatically banned from bf2s. I doubt you want to risk being banned over some little numbers next to your name on a forum.

theyve had a karma system in place for a couple years now and its been nothing but problems.

Try the Karma system on FFXI Allakazham. I read that site for two years while I played. Everyone karma trolls -1 on every post (regardless of content) so that the display system wont show the posts.

When your karma gets below a certain level your posts are only displayed to people who explicitly set their profile to show low karma posts. Hence, the karma trolls bomb all the posters so that nobody sees any posts they make. Not exactly a perfect system. It is kind of like TK Punish I guess. Great on paper...
