My 8800GT 512MB just died, I have an Evga 8500GT 512Mb in my closet.

Will I be able to play BF2142 using this card and if so what should I set the video settings to when I play?

Looks like you can play max settings. But just start there and work your way down if you have gfx lag.

my resolution is 1680x1050

anyone out there using an 8500 GT ?

I also play Left 4 Dead, BF2 and CS:S

do you guys know if the 8500 GT can handle those games as well and if so on what settings ?

My brother has an 8500 and he was able to play the L4D2 demo just fine. Considering that L4D2 is much more taxing than L4D and CSS, despite being the same engine, I'd say it's fine.

As for BF2, well the 8500 was made 2 years after BF2 was, so I highly doubt it can't play it.
