I made my points by each phrase. Hitler was also elected, fairness doctrine, govt control over healthcare, bailouts are also govt. controlled.

Aww and the cute little smart ass insult at the end, I love those.
If it hasn't been said already, yes, Hitler was elected, but he then went to ban every other political party in Germany.  Hence he was a fascist.  I haven't seen Obama attempt to assassinate the Republicans yet.
lol lowing has no idea about the Sturm Abteilung political attacks within Germany.

Not to mention the fact that fascism is being extremely right wing, yet he criticises Obama for being too left wing.

I think he just yet another person who thinks the terms communism and fascism are interchangeable - when in fact they are two extreme opposites of the political spectrum.

The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies "something not desirable."

Which is why when you get your car repaired under insurance it is much, much more expensive than getting it repaired privately.
...what?

You go get your car repaired. It costs x dollars. If insurance accepts the claim, they pay y of x dollars.
You get your car repaired it costs X dollars. You get your car repaired under insurance it costs you nothing (unless you have an excess to pay) and it costs the insurance company X + Y dollars.

Insurance repair centres charge 2-3 times the amount a normal garage would. The same is true for all insurance costs.

I know when I've been working at places doing repairs for insurance, the quotes for anything being paid for through insurance are always inflated.
I am pretty sure you go to whatever shop, get it repaired, and insurance reimburses you. At least here. I don't know what an insurance repair center is.

They apparently think the entire world works like the UK...hence why they think the entire world's health care would work the same under the UK's style of UHC.

But it's arrogant if an American takes that approach.

But you're paying taxes on top of that.

$80 is more than $70 to start with and then you take into account that something like 60% of the US healthcare system is paid for through taxation by the government and suddenly it looks like you're paying almost triple what he is.

They don't require the car be inspected before the repairs? They don't evaluate the cost of repairs for themselves?

They just let you take your car to a garage and get it repaired, then reimburse you?

If that is what happens then it is a stupid system open to massive abuse. If not, then you essentially have the same system.

An insurance repair centre is just a place where all of this can get done at once. Rather than waiting for weeks for an engineer from the insurance company to come out to a local garage near where you live, they just do it all at a central depot. If you want to get it repaired elsewhere, then you are free to - and it will work out cheaper.

Here, an insurance adjuster from the company comes out and makes an assessment of the damage to the vehicle. Then you take it to a garage to have it repaired. Depending on the policy, it can be any garage of your choosing, or one of the insurance company's choosing. If the garage finds something the adjuster didn't, they work with the insurance company to get it fixed. Prices aren't inflated because it's an insurance job...normally, either the opposite is the case or it is the same rate as if you walked in to have the repair done without insurance.
