Cheesy oatcakes

It occured to me only recently that you don't get many cheesy oatcakes else where in the world

I believed them to be an English thing but now I known its just a Stoke/North staffs thing!

So I decided to show you all.

First of all you'll need to buy a pack of oatcakes

remove the packaging and put them under the grill for around a minute

whilst waiting why not cut, or grate your cheese

take the oatcakes out, flip them over, spread the cheese on them and put them back under the grill

wait for the cheese to melt, during this time why not pure yourself a drink

after the cheese has melted take them out

then fold them in half once, and then a second time

Although fair point for the most part Stoke is shite...
As I said before bacon and cheese and either tomato or brown sauce are the main things to have on an oatcake.
