For all you military personell out there are there any special tricks, tips or anything you would like to share? I was taught a way to tie my boots that takes only about 8 seconds to do. Thats pretty helpful in my mind. So yea, tell me what else you guys have.
I'm not in the military but I have a tip for cleaning stuff
Use a tooth brush in corners, I can never get stupid corners clean with the vacuum so I use an old tooth brush. That's an old friend in the military who told me that.
Just off the top of my head...

And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
Well be more specific on what you want help on. Also what branch? Not that I'm bias or anything.

How is that helpful outside of the military? Just curious.NeXuS wrote:

Any branch really. Mostly army. I'll be going through airborne soon so anything in that category would help.Blade4509 wrote:

If you get shouted at don't take it personally.
And floor cleaner is a great boot shiner. I can't remember the name of the one I used though =/
And make sure to sleep lots and eat lots

I'm not in the military but my dad was, and a couple mates are in.
Spit on your boots to make them shine even better. Obviously, use it as well as polish. Don't just spit on them and leave it
EDIT-
Also, buy a decent iron.

All the comments on boots dont work on the new style boots worn with ACU's. ACU boots are made with suede and canvas. The cleaning techniques would be better fitted for class A/B dress shoes.
Also i know about not taking the yelling personal. Im beyond basic training crap.

Do share this quick way of tying boots. I'm sick of spending over a minute lacing mine up whenever I want to go anywhere.
(No, I'm not in the military. But I DO wear stompy lace-up workboots, because I like to be able to kick in doors if I need to.)

Our boots dont need to be laced up because they are always laced but once you get them laced grab your two shoe strings and pull them tight. wrap them around the boot either to the left or right and go all the way around. Wrap the lace around itself like so..
then pull them the opposite way really tight. Then tuck the strings in. miraculously it doesnt come loose...
Ive been told that this is how the marines do it.

I love these boots. They're so comfortable.
The only bad thing is if your not wearing good sucks and you do a ruck march and walked down hill on terrible terrain they tend to rub your toe nails. 1 of my toe toe nails fell off 2 months later after we did a ruck cause of these boots. It was weird.

An old tooth brush plus some water is one of the best (free) ways to clean boots (especially canvas parts).
Look there's a coin on the floor!!!!!!!!!NeXuS wrote:
