Fuck fuck, I paid £80 for a server for three months. Argh, I bet they dont give me the money back. Absolute bastards that they are, although, I have to say, the forums around the net of people going mental are kind of funny

I'm sure you'll get your cash back. The server companies were under the impression dedicated servers were a given, so they figured they'd let people pre-buy servers. Now there's no dedicated servers, they can't charge for anything, so you must be able to get it back.

Regarding anti-cheat, it's going to be VAC.

Pretty sure even 1943 is supposed to have dedicated servers and it's a $15 game.

I was kind of upset when I saw the $10 price increase for the PC version, but I assumed they would up the content in some small way as well. I guess charging $10 for a lack of dedicated servers wasn't what I had in mind.

i signed that petition for one reason. i started my gaming days in the PC / windows platform. and i have respect for it even though i left if for several years. i still have friends who PC game. i heard people say that IW did this move because of the enormous piracy problems out there/ hacks/ NOTE: i did not say this.

i have loyalty to IW's past COD games. but this move of screwing PC gamers out of ded. servers does not sit well with my stomach. i dont agree with it. worse case scenario, ill play it for SP story only.

IW making non dedicated servers on PC, defeats the purpose of clans, competative gaming, etc. worse you spend all that money for gaming rig upgrades only for the best title to come out this year turning into shit. thats unacceptable.
