And it belonged to a non-jewish population before a jewish one, so your point is moot.

Thats just ridiculous.Jewish settlers would come before Islamic ones. Not that hard to understand.

The Germans didn't.
The British didn't, they supported allowing jews to resettle in Palestine, but no jewish state.
Source plz.
And the Caananites that the Jews threw out would have precedence over the Jewish people claiming a biblical right to the land.M.O.A.B wrote:

I'm not saying that because their ancestors settled before someone elses that they should have permanent ownership. Read carefully. IF (with emphasis on IF) you were ever to give land back to a people, which would never happen, it would be given to the originals and those following in that order.
The fact the Israelis are back on the land that their ancestors settled was done through Western nations and the UN. But even so, IF the land was given back on original grounds, the Jewish settlers would have more precedence over the land than the Arabic ones.
Nope don't see that at all. We're talking 2,000 years ago, its irrelevant.MOAB wrote:

Well then 60 years ago is also irrelevant. How much time has to pass before its considered irrelevant eh?Dilbert_X wrote:

That part of the ME is messed up beyond repair tbh.Mekstizzle wrote:
I think the point is out of all the people that once inhabited that land for any significant time, the only two remaining are the Arabs and Jews, and out of those two, Jews came before Muslims/Arabs.
It's all quite irrelevant though. Just recently you had a report talking about war crimes by both Israel and Hamas/Palestine but you had the usual suspects not voting or condemning the report, including the Palestinians. Nobody wants peace in that region. The world would be a better place if they both fucked off. Holy land my arse. Maybe people confused Gods holy ground with the Devils playground.
It wasn't such a mess prior to the aggressive establishment of Israel.M.O.A.B wrote:

I just thought you had some knowledge about the periode before the state of Israel. The point of what ram wrote:rammunition wrote:

When the Muslims first came, just like now when the Jews are coming, it was probably a mess that took awhile to fix too, it's not like they came and suddenly the land was turned into Paradise. You could probably use the same logic again with this, you're going to get lots and lots of years of bullshit before the Jews can just hold on and eventually the area stabilises (just like the Muslims did when they came) or they'll lose and Muslims will retake the place, and then you'll still have years of bullshit before it stabilises again. Just how the world works.rammunition wrote:
