He didn't DO anything. He speaks passionately about the world becoming a handholding singalong but is EXPANDING a war he promised to end.
Obama's rhetoric and pleas for peace account for what? Has he inspired Americans to do ANYTHING except make a run on guns and ammo?
From January 08 to January 09, Americans about 7 billion rounds of ammunition. Thats an estimate from Remington, one of the world's largest ammo manufacturers. 2009 is on pace to sell 9 billion rounds.

The spectre of heavyhanded regulation inspired Americans to snatch up every tactical rifle they could get their untrained hands on. Thats what, half a million guns manufactured that otherwise wouldn't be. I mean, the Remington plant in North Carolina made a 4th shift and now operates 24 hours a day because of freakish, unexpected demand. Thats the Obama effect. Thats your peace prize winner. A guy whose election directly led to the manufacture of a half million AR rifles that would have otherwise not existed... a half million rifles that will remain as lethal as the day they were made in 150 years with virtually no maintenance, aside from being stored, unfired, in a clamshell case under some guy's bed.
This isn't a soapbox rant. This is reality. Obama's RHETORIC and the man's ACTIONS, such as they are, are fundamentally at odds. Perhaps his intent is to snatch up every scary gun in America and send em to the crusher. But the RESULT has been quite the opposite.
Barack Obama is, sad to say, shaping up to be a fraud. He didn't bring the nation together, it remains as divided as ever. He hasn't changed race relations in the US, because ignorant racists are even more embittered and vitriolic about his ascendancy to office. He hasn't done diddly for healthcare reform, and before the broken record about GOP roadblocking starts, ask WHY people are so adamantly opposed to single payer healthcare, look at the national shame that is Social Security, and realistically recognize Obama's failures as his own. The GOP, neutered and irrelevant, cannot MAKE an otherwise stellar president fail. Think about that.
Proud an American won, because we are supposedly some cabal of supervillains tying women to train tracks according to the foreign media. But hugely confused as to just what his accomplishments are, other than idle words.
