Along with the training wheel servers - the ones with no spawn raping, no stealing enemies vehicles, etc., there are several severs that feature Ghost Town as their main map. I love Ghost Town and like playing it. There is this server (name escapes me) that actually says, "if all flags capped, moved back to Convoy so the other team can cap a flag." Seriously? so people are being kicked for actually playing the game. Frigging lame.

I got banned from a server just yesterday for getting a hacker to admit he was hacking...and this guy was blatant, sitting on square roof and headshotting guys at the USMC main with a SVD
i like the you may enter the main to destroy assets/steal vehicals. just dont kill anyone... so what do i do? oops he caught me trying to steal the jet. better lay down and let him kill me.

Lately, when I do play BF2, I enjoy flying jets. I've encountered a slew of servers that will kick you if you're flying a J-10 engaged in combat with an F-35 and just happen to follow it over the US carrier.
Also, I'm not a fan of servers that use PBBans. PBBans has no affiliation whatsoever with EA, DICE, nor evenbalance.com (aka Punkbuster). Supposedly, I got banned from a server in Germany quite a few years ago for "MULTI HACK." I've never used any third party software to alter my game except for maybe a Game Genie for my Sega Genesis back in the day. However, since I started playing again back in July, server admins that get their ass kicked by me or my squads tend to get a wild hair up their ass, look me up on PBBans, and simply copy the information from that old ban to ban me with.
If I were hacking, I'm sure the anti-cheat software in the game would automatically kick me out. The first time I ever left Steam on while playing Battlefield 2, PB auto-kicked me from a server for having "third party" software running in the background. I turned Steam off and problem fixed. I find it funny that Steam now offers the Battlefield 2: Complete Collection.

this one guy thought that 5 people standing near a vehicle spawn holding E and one randomly getting it was a good idea. He didn't understand the concept of something as basic as "wait in line" and when I told him multiple times "wait in the fucking line or I'm going to make sure you never get this vehicle" I teamkilled him and went 38 for 0 while he spent the rest of the round crying about how unfair waiting in line is.
Take a look at the current worthless piece of shit vehicle system in BF2: a RANDOM player gets the vehicle. Cunt A gets the jet, he dies, Cunt A and Cunt B then both try to get the jet, hey presto Cunt A gets it again! repeat for the rest of the round. People like you are the reason that actually taking off is harder than staying alive the entire round. I would just teamkill you and then bomb you again the next time I flew over the airfield but unfortunately every single server in BF2 has german admins now, which is why I don't play anymore. I refuse to take part in the vehicle lotto.

If you need a line system to get the plane, then fuck you.
If you refuse to take part in the vehicle "lotto", then you're by no means pushed to it. Just don't take any vehicle, go on foot. But alas, I really don't care if you play or not anymore.
