If you're a musician there will probably always be that one you want but don't have. This is a thread for you to publicly drool over that one thing you want but can't afford - or want, can afford but can't justify.

The last instrument I wanted was a Maton EM325c electro-acoustic guitar - and I bought it a couple of years back. Glee!

Now that I'm kind of wanting to get back into playing electric guitar and with my two current electrics not being up to the task the new object of my desire is this:

I currently play a used fender American standard HSS, that was made in 2006. Need to get some new pickups for it soon, plays well though. Got it for about 700 (used in not particularly good shape, but hey, for about 500 dollars off the new price figured it wasn't a terrible deal, no structural damage, just some scratching and so forth. Some Gibson 65 helped a fair bit as well).

Hadn't seen the jaguar before but thats not a bad price, not sure what the sound is like but looks very nice.

A buddy of mine had the first generation one and we would fuck around with it all the time. We'd get drunk and go into his home studio and just mess around with the mic and some beats. Incredibly fun to twiddle and knob-turn, incredibly complicated to master (I'm thinking it would take at least 3 years of intensive use to figure out most of the functions), but great fun. If I had an unlimited supply of money I'd build a studio in my house and just make music.
