Add this to your autoexec.cfg in steam\steamapps\commom\left 4 dead\left4dead\cfg (make one if it's not there)

sv_search_max_ping "500"
mm_dedicated_force_servers 193.93.45.186:27015
bind "f1" "sm_admin"

And join this Steam group to use the server

No waiting to find a server from the lobby
You'll get kick/mute privileges
low ping for europeans

And yes Crash Course sucks. It was hyped by Valve to be a map designed around Vs mode and yet it's a pretty bad Vs map compared to the rest.
