Who is the best current soccer striker in your opinion? in the world? I talked to gooners about this yesterday... wonder what the rest of you think would you consider Drogba, Torres, Ibrahimovic, Rooney, Podolski, Henry, David Villa, Dirk Kuyt, Carols Tevez, Van Nistelrooy or who do you think?
Ricardo Fuller, Dave Kitson, James Beattie, Mamady Sidibe.
Rooney is obv doing great at the moment, Torres is also having a good season. Hard to pick a top one though.
Was Henry still playing for Gunners, I would def pick him.
But because not, I'm having a hard time picking one.

Henry when he was at Arsenal.
At the moment, I'm going to have to say, well I have no clue.

He's a good swimmer too!Jenspm wrote:
It all depends on the formation.
imo, Didier Drogba is the worlds best solo-striker. In a 4-4-2 formation, well, not so sure about that one...

I agree, the past few years he's being lying on the ground... a lot.
But under Ancelotti I haven't seen this once.
Torres tbh his link up play & his technical ability is sublime, Drogba is a powerhouse, Shrek sorry Rooney is possibly one of the most over-rated strikers in the world. (zips up flame suit!. It amazes me how Everton taught a fuckin chimp to play football but there ya go.)

Strikers take too much credit.
It's the midfielder that supplies the chimps to score that should take credit so it should be a tossup between gerrard/messi/ronaldo.

Did I mention the great wingers of Ashley Young and James Milner? Young was exceptional last season and Milner had a very impressive England game against the Netherlands.Gooners wrote:

No such thing, as Jens says it depends on formation amongst other things.
And it's impossible to compare players who are in different leagues. There's probably some guy in the Bulgarian league who scores 2 goals every game, but he isn't the best striker in the world.
However taking all this into account, the best striker in the world is :
Didier Drogba

*That was one of my best dives man, fuck you ref, that was like gold medal shit right there*
I know fucking karate
Word. It was, all Arsenal fans hate him. It's just so wrong, seriously for him to go and dive the way he did after all the bullshit Eduardo has been getting, was such a stupid thing to do! He's a good utility player, but can't take a player on, and he's a dirty diver.
