No, I don't need an attitude adjustment. You just need to fuck off.

Yeah, it's a fair point. I did briefly play it years ago and recall it being mostly chasing after rabbits and shit, and so naturally I got rather bored when all I was doing was that again. The annoying thing is that the trial version stops you being able to whisper and join guilds, and I'm sure other stuff that I haven't discovered yet, so that takes away some of the fun stuff already.Uzique wrote:
Golden rule: first 20 levels or so in every MMO is absolute yawnfest; introductory, tutorial-based, easing-you-in bullshit.ghettoperson wrote:
Yeah, so I ignored all your advice after a while on WOW, and I have never been so bored in my life. How the fuck do people get addicted to that shit? Or am I suddenly later going to have a craving for it?
Put in a few hours of time-investment and you'll find it fun. Too fun. Dangerously fun.
Also get involved with a guild - MMO's are as much about being 'social' and integrating with the community as anything else, ironic considering the common-perception of MMO no-lifers.
Just be thankful that WoW makes the introductory 20-levels or so much faster and much more streamlined than almost any other mainstream MMO. You'd be an idiot to judge a game of that type from the first hour of play!
Woah, glancing down the page this debate got slightly out of hand. Part of what annoys me about WOW is that I really enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies, but I have yet to find an MMO that I consider to be anywhere near as much fun. I dunno, maybe I'm just a massive Star Wars nerd so it helps with the initial bordom.Flaming_Maniac wrote:
No, I don't, and I bet ghetto doesn't like mmo's either. My point is you are saying give it time and it will be fun, I am saying that is probably not the case. Seeing as we are on a BF2 forum and all.Simple level distribution...there are a lot more people above your level than below it until you hit 80, and even there are a lot of 80s that are better than you until you get your gear going too.Uzique wrote:
Also lol @ the QQ whine: "which happens less than you get fucked over". Sounds like a serious 'L2P' issue to me.
Ganking was the only thing I really enjoyed, and I played a rogue so that made things a lot easier...I could even get out when my friends were getting fucked by people ~5 levels above us. The fact is if you win 50% (more realistically 60-70% because a lot of people are retards, but still) of the PvP encounters on your approximate level, you are going to get fucked over by 80s raiding your leveling towns for shits and giggles. This is exactly the problem...I played like 50 hours doing nothing but walking around and seeing the weapons, and I still have hours upon hours to go until I actually play that game. The monetary + time investment to "experience the endgame to make a definitive judgement" is absurd.Uzique wrote:
And how can you make a definitive judgement on the game when you didn't even experience the endgame? That's like playing an FPS game and dismissing it as shit before you even shoot anybody, based merely on walking around the levels and seeing the weapons.

I fail to see what's annoying about your recent Karmas.Ioan92 wrote:

It sounds to me like a vain attempt at attention. Imagine a beady-eyed vagrant jumping up and down and twirling about while the sounds of the various metal trinkets he has tied to his clothes create a sort of raucous clatter.Ioan92 wrote:

I mean seriously, not only its low, but its also anonymous. Along with that, it's really annoying.
At least put up a well constructed objection and leave your name so it can be worked out.
Meh, I guess I'll have to report to a moderator again..
