Hey everyone.
I showed a quick pic of this in the introduction thread, and I thought I would expand the shots to show what I have so far. I started this about 2 months ago when all I had to go by was the boxart. I didn't know this forum existed with all its great screen shots (unfortunately).
I know this is sort of off topic from discussing the game itself, but this is how I have kept myself busy whilst waiting for the game release. I hope this is something some of you will enjoy seeing.
I have put together two costumes previously (Batman Comic style and The Dark Knight inspired). I found some cigarette cases in a clearance sale and thought they would make a really nice belt.
Once I had it finished, I immediately thought it was the perfect Arkham Asylum video game costume belt. And it all took off from there. My next acquirement was some soccer shin guards to which I added foamies cut and painted to resemble the gauntlets. I also added oval craft beads to some pirate gauntlets I had.
Next, I took a pair of rubber gardening boots and, again with foamies, added the armour to the front and sides on them. I also acquired a unitard from a Zentai costumer in China and a satin lined, very full cape. I also made an Arkham Batarang from foamies and a couple of juice bottle caps.
I next obtained a Hulk muscle suit costume to wear under the unitard to give me a bit more bulk (although I don't think any amount of padding could make as big as Batman is depicted in the game, and still be able to move).
Finally, I obtained what I believe is the most Arkham Asylum screen accurate cow there is out there, at the moment, until some wonderful artist sculpts and molds one for that purpose.
At the moment, my cape is with a seamstress getting modifications done, so I cannot show any pics of the full suit up yet, but believe me, as soon as I get my cape back, I will suit up and post pics of the final outfit.
Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy what I have done so far.
