all these contest are going on for some sweet prizes even bf2 is having a contest BUT you have to be 18 years or older to even enter. Why does this go on? Why the age limit is there a law that says minors cant win any contest?
Thats pretty gay, that u have to be 18...
Contest? What contest?
Look at the ea bf2 site and on ati.com
WTF is this all about?
good job i say
:p
:p
I dont mind it lol....thats because I'm over 18 ...kind of sucks though for those who are under 18 since there are some good players
Screw the 18 and over limitation, what about having to live in the US? Fuck that.
I probably wouldn't go for it wanyway. I have no use for any of the prizes at this stage.
Edit: By 'screw the 18' thing, I'm dismissing it, not saying it's wrong. I am 18.

I think its normal that you have to be 18, i'll bet they have some reasons for it.
I think it's just protection from lawsuits and, stuff. Like if you won a mouse pad with a girl in a bikini and, your parents dissaproved they could sue if they where asshats. They are just protecting themselves and, I think it has just become the norm.
Hey I'd like to win a shopping spree at Toys 'R' Us but, I'm to old. See it works both ways.

.... yea but the problem is that i dont have the money right now for my new comp im gonna buy & build(im workin right now makin $20 an hour).
$20 an hour ain't nothing to sneeze at man, especially at your age (I'm assuming you're under 18 since you're complaining about the age limit on the contest). Especially when you consider the minimum wage is barely $6.
I'm pretty sure the age minimum is as someone above mentioned a defense against a potential lawsuit. It's the same reason that they have that "You must be 18 or over to call" stipulation for those ads on TV (even though the product being sold is for a young audience, e.g., Nickelodeon merchandise, etc). EA doesn't want pissed off parents making a fuss; that would change this publicity stunt into bad PR.
