If put so much money on PC, I would 101% sure want to build it myself.

I'm sure the professionals will do a better job than me.
It's a well known company here in the UK building it, I used them to custom build my laptop too, they're very good.

Yeah, what is the point of getting creme-de-la-creme hardware if you dont get to see it, and assemble your monster...burnzz wrote:

but tbh, I save up to get the best of the best too, but I would NEVER buy the top models that give you 1% more performance for 200% the price, that is just wasting money...

more like 5% extra with non OC GTX 275 and EVGA GTX 275 FTW, in case like that it is worth it.FloppY_ wrote:

i7 975.... yes, waste, but I wouldn't call all-SSD and GTX 285 3-way SLi waste. You get what you pay for, superior performance and finally rid of the dinosaur-like HDDs.FloppY_ wrote:

1 x 250 GB SSD is far than sufficient for OS, Games & Programs
1 x 285 if you want to go "expensive" or 2 x 4890 ftw....
3 way SLi,, wtf do you need it for? Running Crysis & Warhead simoultaneously on two 30" monitors????

I believe those would increase the ambient temperature inside your case, since they do not dump the air outside like the stock cooling does. Had a problem with my HR-03 because of that, needed to cut some fan holes on the side of my case to cool itComputer_Guy wrote:

$140 for a great monitor. I'm using it for as my second monitor.

So you want to keep that noisy piece of shit HDD in your case, even when you could afford SSDs? I think not....FloppY_ wrote:

He can also afford 3 GTX 285s, so why not? It sure as hell can eat every game coming out for breakfast for a long time.
e: Why would anyone buy better gfx card than X800XT because you can game bf2142 at low at steady 100fps?
(notice the sarcasm)
Or would buy any other car than the absolutely cheapest shit that takes you from place A to place B?
(more sarcasm)

Don't need to add anything to that really....I don't want to upgrade for a LONG time, and gaming requirements seem to change at a crazy rate, so thinking for the future was part of my thought when purchasing.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

I don't have any time spare right now, so paying extra for building and extensive testing is fine by me, besides I don't know how to set up a water-cooled system, who knows what damage I would do to my new components lol.
Floppy I like the way you say it's a waste of money when I haven't even said how much I paid for it yet.

Getting something that is only marginally better than the model 1 step lower at half the price = idiocy
And maybe if you would stop buying those WD Raptors you wouldn't be able to hear your HDD's... My samsung F1 1TB & 500GB WD ??? drive makes nearly no sound... why the **** would i pay 10x more for flash drives?
@ GFX cards, that is just one dumb comment, go find a game that wont run perfect with only 2 285GTXs...
Now stop beeing such a douche
