People sometimes try and use this film to claim that Christian Bale has some kind of range as an actor, he doesn't. Losing weight and putting weight does not denote any sort of acting talent, which Christian Bale is noticeably devoid of. He can only play one role, one way. That role is sort of moody and troubled, which seems to match his persona to a tee.

Equilibrium - 5/10. It was entertaining but the story about completely banning the arts and emotions and if anyone is caught with either is incinerated is kinda fucked.
