I'm sure there are hundreds of potential reasons as to why you're coughing up blood. It's impossible for internet-folk to diagnose the problem. Primarily because none of us are trained professionals and even if we were, we can't exactly examine you from here to further to determine the problem.

Go to fucking hospital, you start coughing up blood and it could mean anything from a scratched throat to a small chip of glass slowly cutting through your oesophagus which could cause serious problems, and thats the optimistic side of things.
Stop smoking.

Have you had a cold or sickness that's made you cough a lot? A few years ago I broke a blood vessel coughing and freaked the hell out when I coughed up blood...it healed after a day or so though...
He may cough up a small amount of blood once every two days. He didn't say that it's an endless cycle of blood spurting from mouth.
