believe me, I would want that too, but on the other hand - good spies with dead ringer are already pain in the ass , why make them even harder to kill?Kptk92 wrote:
Well normal cloak can recharge with ammo and it has a longer time use than Dead Ringer so why not tbhlegionair wrote:
recharging it with ammo would be too easy to use imoKptk92 wrote:
Cool now make it that the Dead Ringer doesn't drain it's cloak back to the way it was or make it you can recharge the cloak with ammo
edit: though it could recharge faster

Dead Ringer doesn't work against players who listen to that CRACK-A-BOOM sound.legionair wrote:

Yeah i've gotten so used to that sound now that as soon as i hear it i go hunting.NooBesT wrote:

I originally thought it was awesome, but now i find that the only people it really works against are the people who are too stupid to know what's going on anyway. In which case the regular watch would do fine.
Well I use the Dead Ringer religiously and I am disappointed about how the cloak drains completely even when you use it for a second or something. Doesn't seem fair seeing as both cloaks don't drain when you finish with them. Then again that's just my opinion, I prefer Dead Ringer to both of the other cloaks because I can get out of danger.
If it wouldn't drain out, you could just keep switching it on and off and be almost invincible. They fixed it by making it drain completly... What they should have done is have delay between switching it off and on.Kptk92 wrote:

Even with the "fix" the Dead Ringer works on most servers.

cloak and dagger > dead ringer
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
in your opinion. They're sidegrades. Each have their advantages and disadvantages.haffeysucks wrote:

While we're on the subject of Spies and up/side-grades...does anyone NOT use the Ambassador?
After your first shot, it retains the accuracy of the old revolver.
It goes through people, letting you kill an Engie and his being-set-up-SG in two shots.
It's a fucking sniper rifle without a scope.
It can get headshots.
The only drawbacks:
It's fuck-ugly.
It shoots a liiiiiiiittle bit slower.

Don't forget that it does less damage too.
But yeah. I always have it equiped.

Oh...wasn't aware of that.
But the fact that the original revolver is a handcannon itself, and that the Amb can get crits, still tips the favor to the Amb.

It does 15% less damage. I guess if you think every seventh of your hits is not a headshot, you are justified to use the old one.

But the revolver gets random crits too!
And they do more damage than ambassador's headshots.

I agree with NooBest.

All my hats have disappeared, apart from a Mining Helmet. Either it's a fuckup from the most recent steam client/TF2 update, or Valve being jerks and intentionally removing them

So now people are annoyed that valve are fixing bugs?

They fixed that bug a few days after the Sniper/Spy update came out. I'm just a bit annoyed that if they did intentionally remove them, why?
We would have got them all at some point anyways, so why bother even removing them? Let the people who already have them keep them, it's not harming anything.

However...that doesn't mean all updates are bad. 70% of them are great.

Yes but the items that are being removed were obtained because of a bug. The only people complaining are those that wrongfully had the items anway
Ohhh...well regarding that update: I don't much care either way.
I've idled once or twice, but then decided that was just as stupid as the method of obtaining them, and just played.

Actually, quite a few hats that were removed were from people who got them playing normally too, without that bug.
But yes, I'm complaining about it. Still doesn't change the fact that there was no point removing them anyways, since you got them for free with/without the bug present.
