We've essentially sacrificed our prosperity for the sake of a country that doesn't even like us.  They've spent more time making spectacles out of things like shoe throwings than actually working together.

To put it bluntly, they deserved Saddam.  We should've left him there for Iran to worry about as well.
I am sure though there are really good people there that like the US. And the media is bias towards liberalism as far as TV wise.

Well, I'll agree that many of them probably do like us, but the question is...  how many of them in positions of power do?   The Iraqi government seems somewhat that way, but a lot of the general public doesn't seem to.

It's as if these people forget that they had a homicidal maniac in charge before us.  I don't even like Bush, but he's still better than Saddam.

It's all relative though. I'm sure many people preferred being able to walk down the street and go to work without being blown up even though there was a despot in charge. It depends what you're into.

Good point, but damn...  people that prefer security over freedom disgust me.  It's why I don't like neocons either.

giving money to potential suicide bombers......no

i would prefermy donations to go to people who would appreciate it

but then again the families of suicide bombers who murder israelis get blood money from hamas

it seems the message about this being a religion of peace is often forgotten........

Pot, kettle.

Your post would be less pointless if it were on an active topic.

Well, first off, im not a Bush fan. The "stupid title to a stupid thread" comment bothered me a bit. Not because I used a poor choice of words to describe the event, but because the poster seemed to refuse to validate his  comment. It bothers me that orphans aka people with NO FAMILY are being taught to hate America for the wrong reasons by people who were probably raised the same way. YES blame America because suicide bombers killed your parents.....

The U.S. gave them freedom. The freedom to express their feelings, freedom to make right or wrong decisions like wasting money on pointless statue(s) or waste the lives of children by converting them to would be suicide bombers .  There is no bright future for a country who condone suicide bombers and or terrorism. Score 1 for freedom...maybe democracy.
