fucking pussy
The first interview I had I sweated so much it stung my eyes, stuttered uncontrollably, couldn't look at the guy at all. Thing is: It's fucking ridiculous. I know it's not a big deal, they just want to talk to me, to find out that I'm not a complete chav, but I can't help being nervous..Gooners wrote:

guis, remember that salaries are much higher over here due to taxes and overall high pricing.
I'm actually risking having to pay taxes this year. fuck.
But is it still a lot in your currency/country?Jenspm wrote:

Considering I think £5.75 is a shitload..
well it's above average, but I'd say an average summer job is like £9-10.Finray wrote:

I've previously worked in a lady's back yard for £12, and at a moving company for £11.
yet, I'm still broke. It's amazing how money flies out the window
Take the lunch from Subway and slam the bag on the table right in the beginning of the interview.

You can trade me for my civil service temp summer job doing admin duties if you want? That is going to be a bitch, full of bullshit its intended to test your "competancies" which are really pretty dammed impossible for an 18 year old to have.

Be respectful, but dont be a tight ass. Also dont use big words you cant understand cause you will sound like a douchebag... And make eye contact. Just remember they are interviewing you to get to know you, dont be too formal
Damn, I natrually speak with long words. I'll try to act a bit dumb then .Wallpaper wrote:

McDonalds is a crack-up, particularly with their write-up of Finray's job. '"Customer Care Assistant"? How 'bout "Clerk". "Guy at the Counter", "Guy taking orders" or "Guy dealing with fat morons"?
I wonder what they call the burger-flippers? "Chef a la casa con el sabor hamburguesas de mierda"?
Finray you'll be fine, just remember that while you may be in an interview for a job, your employer probably has about half the education you do. That being said when you get the job don't constantly remind your employer of that fact - leaving post-it notes on his desk with the message "I'm more qualified than you, dickhole" is not a good idea, particularly if you have distinctive handwriting as I do.
(And yes, that is how Ty lost his McDonalds job. Interesting story for another time maybe.)

It's MacDonalds. You do know that if you passed the online thing that means you have the job, right? The interview is just to check if you are human - I have had several friends work at McDs and that is what happens. The interview is incredibly basic.Finray wrote:
4 Days, bricking it, I hate interviews.
For proper interview advice, open up your wrists when sitting on the chair and never cross legs or hold hands. Sit with both arms on each chair arm (or your leg) and sit up but not back. The opening up the wrists thing means that you are trusting towards the interviewer (you're in a vulnerable position and your main artery is at full view, is the most basic explanation) and sitting normally shows that you aren't either defensive or too arrogant.
The small details are all that count in an interview. It's a fact that 90% of interviews are decided before the interviewer speaks. It's a subconscious reaction by the interviewer, but that is how it works. Smile and give a firm hand shake.
You will be absolutely fine. Trust me.
