A favorite server feature: TK forgive/punish information display

I was playing on the 24/7 Karkand StrafeRight.com server. I really like this feature.

Once you get team killed, you will have the choice to either forgive or punish. But the good thing is , the server will broadcast your decision and the record of your decision (like 3forgive/1punish something). I haven't seen this feature in other servers yet.

This will really show those bitter accidental tk punisher.

I don't hate being team killed at all if it is just an accident. But there are always some dumbasses will suddenly jump in front of your fast moving vehicles or your firing MG and got killed, then punished you even after you said sorry. Hate those idiots!

GameArena servers had this feature for a while. I thought it was brilliant, did start some arguments between players sometimes though. Not sure why they got rid of it, haven't seen it for a couple of weeks now.

.....and we all know how much everyone follows in game rules. Punish off is the only way to go. Once you try a no pun server and there were over 2,000 last time i checked you never play on other servers. Its great playing w/o everyone all antogonized.

It's a feature of BF2CC -- most servers run by that control system will have it now (or soon as they upgrade)

I like it too. I have come to the conclusion that I am the only person that never punishes for stupidity. I have even forgiven for intention TK's in thought that it might be an accident. I must be to nice. ;P hehe

I've been to dozens of servers where it would say on the MOTD that punishing for accidental tks would result in a boot.

Never seen anyone get the boot for that...

No, people need to watch where the vehicles are going. What's easier to see, a tank or a soldier? Is a soldier going to run over a tank? I've had idiots run in front of me, stop, lob grenades/just stand there shotting aimlessly in alleyways of Kark. That kind of shit is just asking for some AT or Spec Ops guy to stumble upon your immobile armor and take you out. If I'm in an APC and I have to make a full stop in order to not run over a jacknut teammate who just walked in front of me, he's most likely gonna die.

But it does nothing about it. I liked it when my favorite server would automatically boot you after 3 TKS, total! You'd have to restart the enitre game before you could rejoin.

I like that option. The other day on sharqi i was driving an APC down the "main street" near the water. i was at full speed and this idiot was watching me and just steped in front of me. i tryed to swerve but i hit him. after he punished me the tk bar came up on top and this idiot was 12 punishes - 0 forgives

i think that tk stat bar is a great idea for finding asshats.

And another example in Karkand. In the front yard of Hotel, full of enemy infrantry. You threw a couple of grenades into the yard to clear the way. Your idiot teammate saw your throwing grenades into the yards, but he was just so impatient to wait for the grenade to explode. He rushed into to the yard and got tked and punished you.
