Runnin stock cooler, it gets toasty.

I OC'ed it a little bit, but it was running hot so I didn't want to go any higher. Maybe when a get a better cooler...

Anyway, I made it to 9947 @ 649/1010, she was runnin 70*C at idle so I figured I'd stop there...

4850?

It can do it fine at 90 tbh. BUST THAT 10K GO

Besides you can manually set the fan speed to 100 and then it shouldn't get to 70C even.
Fan speed is 100% 24/7.

My case sucks, tbh.

He's just butthurt from the SPI thread drama.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Don't bring SPI thread here. It's not like this would be any serious but there must be some rules that everyone must obey to keep this one organized and clear.

Gotta clock the CPU up a bit more some day. Easily another 1k in that.

ATI hardware performs vastly better than nVidia hardware on 3D06. Even my dual GTX295s hardly outperform a 4870X2. On 3DVantage it's the complete opposite. nV hardware performs much better than ATI. These synthetic benchmarks are a terrible measure of performance

But we both have intel CPUs and ATi graphics cards. yet the 4870X2 and i7 got only a marginally better score than E8400 and 4870... or am i missing something?

With HT enabled you can get some crazy variations. Disable it for 3Dmark benching

I gues it is the fastest around here, atleast for now. I could have pushed the processor around 50MHz more to get over 26000 but my goal was to get over 25000 so i didn't bother.

Also, if you want to the score WITHOUT registering:

"Save As" at the results screen.
Rename the file to have ".zip" at the end.
Extract file.
Open "Results.xml".
Search for "Score".

You'll find it easy enough.

It should give you the score on their website even if you don't register. It's merely for the linkage and list that you should do it.

Also, hi chuy. Haven't seen you in a good while.
