Faster stabs and ability to chance the gun you appear to hold. How is this not a buff.
K I tried to change weapon.. but it seems you can only get two weapons..
For example Pyro disguise can only get Flamethrower and Axe.. Sniper disguise, Rifle and Kukri..
Is it just me?

Removal of a pre-attack delay makes it harder to use. Yes, this makes perfect sense. I know let's make the heavy have no slow down when using his mini-gun this'll make it harder to use.
It's just you. I can get all 3 with every class.Finray wrote:

Change to the weapon i want my disguise to be holding, and press 'b' for lastdisguise. It will appear as though my disguise is changing weapon normally.
You can even cycle through them with the mousewheel while repeatedly hitting b.

I don't get how to change the weapon

I was going back into the disguise and selecting the disguise I selected.. that seemed to change the weapon somehow.

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAThis time it seems a number of you used an external application to unlock all of your achievements in order to get items unfairly. Coming as a surprise to no one with the ability to retain memories of the recent past, I have taken these items from the perpetrators for one week.

Haha, as if any of the people using apps like that care about those items anyway, what a pointless punishment.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

This unlock distribution system is absolutely fail, so now they punish the players that want to simply play in a balanced and even environment?
Great move, casual loving Valve.

Uzique, no one likes you, just go away.
Wtf, what the hell has that got to do with anything? Go drink bleach you noobish little cunt. This update has been hated by 1/2 of the TF2 community and now Valve puts on their arrogant super-overlord face to start 'punishing' the dissenters? Yeah, because waiting 6 months for half a class-update that brings as many problems as it does fixes... really deserves applause, that.
Fuck Valve and their silly punishments, they're clearly not as superior as they think because my very simple app has gone undetected.

Yeah Uzique, fuck Valve, they suck. They have gone above and beyond what the support a developer needs to give it's games, they release meaningful updates with loads of new contend on a game that's over a year old. They are constantly reworking the balance to make the game less fun. They are always removing bugs and making the game less annoying to play.Uzique wrote:

Fuck Valve.
Above and beyond? They're a games company, not a charity organization. Lose the naivety and look at the actual hard reasons behind why they continue updating their games. Every time they launch an update pack they use it as a marketing opportunity off the back of the event and launch a game sale, plugging away their diluted-casual-patched game to even more little naabs. Valve don't deserve applause for extending the life-cycle of one of their products, that's business #101, everyone does it. As for the fact they release it for free-- well I'm not complaining about the price. My gripe is with their attitude; they think they have a right to ban/punish the huge number of players that object to their 'one update every 6 months' scheme. Some people don't care about the weapon unlocks. Some people don't care about the meaningless grinding-yawnfest of achievements. They shouldn't be punished just because they don't want to partake in the "8 Scouts per server woo, for 3 months, woo!" festival.

You cheated, so you get shat on. That's the way it is. And plus the achievables are there to have fun with anyway, the fact that you used the hack to get them proves you don't care about having fun in the game.Uzique wrote:

Also, it's not like you're going to use the unlocks anyway, because you're a competitive faggot and they aren't allowed in those stupid leagues, so why throw a pissy fit when Valve takes them away? It's not like you did anything yo get them. "Diluted-casual-patched game"? No one is forcing you to not have fun in TF2 Uzique, you just don't have fun because first you're an asshole, second everything in the game has to be exactly as you want it, and finally (and most importantly) is because you're playing the game to stroke you're pwn out-of-control ego by telling yourself that your skill in a video game some how makes you superior over everyone else.
And while Valve's reasons for releasing updates is purely capitalistic, but what they are doing is making the player-base happier. And most other companies charge money for new content like this, unlike Valve who do it because it makes the player-base happier.
tl;dr: Fuck you and Fuck yo' couch.
If you had read my post, you would realize the update didn't affect me. Even if it did, I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest, I never play Scout.
I threw a "pissyfit" over their response, conduct and attitude. A lot of players have a very valid argument for cheating on the unlocks, and a lot of those said players probably do enjoy using their new toys in pub-servers. The achieveables are there to "have fun with", and me 'cheating' means I don't care about having fun in TF2? Hahaha. Sure, because I'm not taking part in the mad-spamfest of 32-player 24/7 2Fort with 12 scouts per team, I'm not having fun.
I will repeat my earlier point: I do not care what 'x' anonymous peons on a video-game Forum think about me. Making any points about me being "an asshole" or nobody liking me is a waste of your time, it's a redundant and laughable 'point' to tack onto your responses.

On a semi-related note.
I do feel that the achievement -> unlock system needs a complete overhaul.
Getting achievements is fun when they're just there to be achieved. Having to get them to unlock weaponry you've been waiting 6 months for turns them into an irritating grind. You sacrifice either the achievements or the unlocks with this current system.
To be honest i'd much rather if they just gave everyone the guns right away and left the achievements there for fun. As it is everyone just finds the achievements annoying and nothing but a barrier between them and the new weapons. It defeats the point of having them completely. With the Medic, Pyro and Heavy weapons I wasn't so bothered. The achievements were mostly easily attainable and were quite fun to get. This update though... Not only has it been 6 months since the last update, but the achievements are just bad. They're hard, a grind, and the unlocks are given out in a completely backwards order in regards to what the achievements require.
I just sat there trying to get them on Well and 2Fort servers until I got the Sandman. It wasn't fun, but I wanted to try it after all this waiting. I'd love to be able to get the achievements in my own time and enjoy seeing the pop up whenever it appeared but the system just doesn't work like that.

What the heck is TF2?
How is the length of an unlock cycle - which is way more frequent than "once every six months" - related with gaining weapons through external and dishonest means? There is really little connection. Valve isn't punishing players that object to their update cycle; they are punishing players who circumvent how the game is intended to be played.Uzique wrote:

Don't use them. Some people don't care about the weapon unlocks.
Don't try for them. Some people don't care about the meaningless grinding-yawnfest of achievements.
This doesn't justify being a selfish loser and circumventing how Valve wanted to implement them. If you really didn't care about them, you wouldn't find a need to cheat to get them. They shouldn't be punished just because they don't want to partake in the "8 Scouts per server woo, for 3 months, woo!" festival.
To append a note, I find it rather sad you think the ends always justify the means. If I want a nice house, does that justify fraud to acquire the money to get it, as opposed to honestly earning wealth? This is little different in any way.

The point about you being an asshole is the core of my argument. You have made tons, and tons of posts about TF2, all of which are about how you don't like the stuff in the game. It is obvious from your posts that you don't have fun in the game, however you still continue to play it. Since you aren't enjoying the game, you only have one reason to play; to find excuses to hate the game so that you can troll on the forums. Before you say "Well how do you know that all I'm doing is trolling" I ask you to look at your post history, and your moderation history. The overwhelming majority of your posts are designed with the soul purpose of getting people pissed off. Your contribution to the forum is almost entirely negative. The only reason you aren't banned is because people think it's funny when you troll them. Because that's all you are. Some dick who has nothing better to do than try to get people angry over the internet.Uzique wrote:

God, Nub your interruption was certainly unpredictable.
Selfish-loser? I don't use the guns, I don't care about stats. How am I being selfish? How are my actions even affecting or 'ruining' anyone elses enjoyment of the game? If you derive enjoyment and find it fun gaining achievements to unlock new weapons for classes that you actually play, then that's your own experience and you're welcome to it. Personally I just like having the weapons there in case I ever do find the need to use them, as unlikely as that may be. I'm certainly not harming anyone else in my conduct, nor does it even harm other people, so I don't see where selfishness comes into it.
The super-long update cycle is related to people's cheating methods because many people feel that, until all classes have been updated, the game is in a state of permanent incompletion and imbalance. I would rather wait for 12 months and receive every class update at once, and have an even-playing field with which to play on, rather than to buy into the hype-marketing calendar festivals that Valve construct every 3-4 months for the already-bored pubnubs.
Docta I have been banned, perma-banned and AWM'd into oblivion. You're not telling me anything new here. I wouldn't try to deny those brandings in the first place, so you're running ahead of yourself a little bit there with your self-fancied awesomeness. I don't only play TF2 to find reasons to hate it, I actually hugely enjoy playing the game and it is definitely one of my all-time top FPS games, both on a competitive level and on a more casual basis. I have no idea why you're launching an entire argument based on assumption, it's a little bit silly.
