CoD4 Demo Question

I am thinking about playing COD4 again, and was thinking about making a small frag movie for fun. I plan to take the footage as a demo because I cannot play and run fraps at the same time (the fps decrease blows).

I remember reading about Demos a while back, and recall something about how I can load a different config "All settings on high to make the eye candy reappear while playing the demo) to play the demo with. Then record the demo while it plays with good graphic settings.

Does anyone know how to do this? I tried to find it again, but came up empty.

In game : /record demonamehere - when done /stoprecord - or just quit the game
Download COD4 demo player:

Go in game, change settings to what you want to record at
Load demo in COD4 demo player - Activision - COD4 -Mods Promod, DAMN, PAM4 if your playing competitively or using a mod, just the default path for the player if its stock, and record away.

This will basically give you a run-down on how to record. Only downside is that it doesn't record the "+5/+10" when you get kills.

I'm cuently making a second frag movie (mostly sniper) and this is the way i will do it. Bit of a pain in the ass though, have to record in game, then go back through the recording and FRAPS it, so much effort

What? It does..

Yah, it gives you +5 and +10s....and even + 20 in one memorable spam nade on backlot.
Its a pain to have to record it though, I generally watch through in speeded up and write down (or xfire myself) the rounds I want to record, then go back and record, going super fast over the rounds I don't want. still a giant pain though.

Rather this than record at low resolution with low graphics and low frames per second tbh.

triple kill on district (went to cafe and shot past a arches and got lucky, had a nice spawn)

And quad nade on backlot - went past the car by the corner from offensive spawn and got em all.
They're in console because Im terrible at screenshoting quickly.

One time in a 5v5 SD match, my clan killed the whole other team in the first like 10 seconds with nades. Twas on Crossfire.

lol. There really cant be that much doubt that vanilla COD4 nades are overpowered. Although they're kinda fun. COD2/1 was fun, bunch of weak ones.
DAMN nades are just a pain though, really.

Well when I replay my demos again I still have the +5/+10 when I kill. Seems to work fine.

Thanks for the help guys. Pretty cool how I can play on bad graphics and record on high.
