Finially sick on stock fan, too damn noisy and my E8400 is running waaaay to hot, and the samsung DVD burner sounds like a fucking jet whenever I try and play far cry 2

Luckily, that cooler will also work for socket 1366 so when I get my i7 I dont need to replace the cooler, just use a different back plate. Slightly concerned about the weight of the cooler though, I may hold off installing it until I move my rig into the other room. Dont want it snaping off and crashing into my video card

I just got my new machine assembled. I finally don't have 50C idle temp on the CPU!! On top of that, I'm gonna sell my old E7200 for as much as I bought it for, to someone who doesn't oc.

The Xonar DX is awesome, too. The drivers, not that they're what I hoped for, kick Creatives ass. Many times over.

Exactly. 3DMark gives a quite good estimate of a computer's performance in gaming apps. Combine that with your brain, and you've got yourself a huge datasheet for pretty much all computer parts there are.
