Bout fucking time I dumped this 17"... Even if it is an epic monitor that cost a fortune when I got it (actually I'll use it as a secondary, I can't bare to get rid of it lol).

Now think about how that exact destiny is what awaits your new Samsung.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'll buy a 30" in a year or so and have 3 monitors! Hmmmm may need a bigger desk...

This lil fella has served me well though. Bought it week of realease for about £300 (yes in 2005, it's lasted that long).

It's seriously amazing, I've yet to find a screen with better image quality and I've had a lot of monitors next to it (out of the box it wasn't set up too well, it takes some work to calibrate but it's worth it).

Yeong Yang Server Cube (was discounted from £130 to £90, so I had to ) and 2 x 750GB Samsung Spinpoint F1.

Finally my File Server will get a case to live in, and some extra Gigabytes

Thats pretty cool! My brother has been trying to set up a NAS (Network Attached Storage) server and it kinda worked for awhile, but then it stopped

Anyway, is that what your 'file server' is? A NAS?

It's just a PC that is dedicated to downloading, and then streaming the files it has downloaded over the network. It's going to run Ubuntu and a Usenet client that lets me add/remove/configure my downloads from any browser anywhere in the world

Specs are listed as II) in my sig btw.

I was thinking about buying a WD Raptor 80 Gig Drive for some seriously faster load times.

4x2 GB Patriot Viper DDR2 Ram, an E8500, some crappy ECS motherboard that came with the E8500 for my brother (who gets my old E6600) and a new 1 TB external hard drive to replace my old 750 GB external drive that also goes to my brother.

The one that is $50 more ASSUMING I would ever receive the $20 rebate? So, making it a $70 difference?

Report if it's good. Sunbeam is not the most reputable company in my books, although that cooler seems to have positive reviews.

That cooler is rated one of the best coolers on the market atm.

Also, Sunbeam makes the Tuniq Tower too.

Given that it has a larger capacity and is way faster I don't see that as much more, plus $70 is what £50? That's not really a lot, I waste more than that each month on going out and I'm not a heavy drinker.
