Obviously you need to run the program for the thing to work ...
it saves at whatever interval you specify. The default is every 15minFinray wrote:

Good-bye 800PPD, hello 6000PPD!
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

So how do I know when this thing is working?
I just got this up and running, I don't leave my pc on all night but I'll leave the thing running in the back ground when my compy is on.
If you're running a CPU client, your CPU usage should be at 100% (use task manager to check). If you're running the GPU client, there should be an icon in the system tray. Hover your mouse over the icon and it should tell you "Working". You can also view the progress by right clicking on the icon and clicking "Display" or Status -> Log File. Additionally, you should download and install Fahmon. Instructions are in the first post of this topic.Ataronchronon wrote:

Ahh alright then, it seems to be working fine. Also, the systray icon says "Working (465/1500)", what do the numbers mean?SpIk3y wrote:

I have the fah gpu running, but when I try to run the x86 version along side the gpu version the x86 runs really really slow. Iunno if that's possible or not.
Do you have single- or dual-core CPU?DaRkAcE wrote:

Personally, I don't think there's a point in running a CPU client unless it's the SMP client. The regular single-core client generates hardly any points... it's just not worth the trouble.
q6600, 8800gtx, on xp.
Update to the latest nvidia drivers. It dramatically lowers the CPU overhead. The SMP client should produce some nice PPD, although it does take forever to complete a single WU. The best solution would be to run dual linux VMs and fold on them
