how is the CPU usage with nvidia GPU folding under linux?

in that case I think I'll change my quad 8800GT rig over to linux. That way I can squeeze a little more out of the machine and don't have to reboot the thing all the time for updates

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Holy shit, I was away for 10 days and neither the SMP or GPU client crashed. The only blip in my PPD was due to the internet dying. Normally I can't get the SMP to run for 48 hours without crashing. It's about time it got stable.

Setting up Linux in VMware seems like a lot of work and I'm not prepared to do it right now. Maybe some day. I'm about to get the free 9600GT that BFG sent me up and folding, so that should give me a good PPD boost. Plus, I just got a PS3 and will fold with that also.

Linux + VMware is not that much work really. Install VMware, Click a couple of next buttons, download fah, unzip, do the usual fah config, done:)

if you're too lazy to do that you can give notfred's VM a try. Tiny download, easy config though the web browser
