Yep, but I think he's actually a lot more electable than Paul. He's not quite as radical.usmarine wrote:

I wouldn't say Paul is stupid. I'd say he's too idealistic. Some of his ideas are quite good though.DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Here's the weird thing about Schiff. He did work as an advisor for Paul, but if you listen to what he's saying about the economy, he actually seems to advocate regulation of certain financial things (quite unlike Paul).DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Idealistic people created great things in this world.. Ron Paul is not afraid of bringing out new ideas .. he think outside of the box.. that's how you can bring REAL change...Turquoise wrote:

Obama is a better example of someone that actually accomplishes change. What I mean by that is he is essentially a realist disguised as an idealist.AutralianChainsaw wrote:

I have to agree. Some times I think 1776 was destroyed in 1913. One of the main reasons for the war of independace was to get away from the debt based money system of the british central bank. Only difference now is the fed has an american flag outside it rather than a union jack.AutralianChainsaw wrote:

I'm not actually, but maybe I should join. I'm just going by what I've researched on my own about Schiff.Bell wrote:

Btw Turquise are you on europacfic's mailing list?
Martyn
His ideas aren't new though. They're old. Real old. His ideology was what was popular during the 1920's, and we all know what happened in the 1920's.AutralianChainsaw wrote:

1. Interest rates are at a 34 year low.
2. Gas is under $1.60/gallon
3. Many deals can be found at stores
4. Home prices are down where you can actually afford them
5. You can get a VERY good deal on a car right now
6. Stocks aren't over valued right now...the P/E ratios of them are where they were in 2004 and so actually worth buying some of these companies
7. If your business has reserves, its now best to start buying up your competition and expanding. Any good business that's not month to month.
8. If you're a business this is where you out innovate your competitors and drive them out of business.
Granted its not 2007, but these business cycles are cyclical every 7-11 years.
What's funny is that people were doom and gloomers saying the same thing in 1987 after the stock market crash.
According to a lot of people, what is about to happen will be even worst than the great depression.. and Ron Paul is not even in charge..DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Strangelove is right that a lack of regulation caused much of the Great Depression. I disagree with Paul on his extreme opposition to regulation.AutralianChainsaw wrote:

He never said he didnt like Israel, he just doesnt care about them and all the other countries in the middle east. He also said that the US is preventing Israel from defending itself properly. Stop all foreign aid and Israel will not have to ask permission to the US when it has to defend itself against countries like Iran and Syria.usmarine wrote:
