Reaction times don't factor into it if you place them right .

Of course after a few kills people will be more wary and will probably just not go around the corner. But thats the entire point of the Demoman, area denial.

I just played it. Demoman really needs an unnerf. I think a better idea would be to make bullets more effective at shooting stickies off of walls, not outright destroying them. The way it is now, an HW Guy could just spreh his minigun at stickies on the other side of the map and they'd fall.

Well the way it is now it's less effective for using it the way it's supposed to be used while just as effective as a replacement for the GL.

Has anyone else noticed, but if you scream fro a medic when your HP is less than Half then the pip that is over you're head will be red on red and not red on white?

Yeah .

* The icon on the HUD for a person calling for Medic will now give more information to the medic (if the target is low on health, on fire, etc.)
Always good for prioritising heals. People over at SUF have been asking for something like it for ages. I haven't seen an on fire bubble yet, but apparently there are some.

It's little shit like this though that makes games just that much more enjoyable, I'm glad Valve sees that.

its encourages demoman to not spam stickies but to put then in a place where you cant see them and to use them as a trap.
I dont see anything wrong with being able to blow up stickies with bullets.

I really don't 'get' some of the senseless changes...

Gibs have now been removed for everything except direct-explosive hits. Why? All we get now is some pathetic attempt at a ragdoll animation-- the body normally flopping over like a massive flaccid, lifeless cock. I hate to appeal to any sort of 'realism' gaffe but if a rocket exploded one metre next to you, your body would be fucking ruined. Don't gimme this shitty ragdall slouch-over bullshit, it's a pointless change. I want to have the satisfaction and lulz of blowing my opponents into tiny chunks with my projectile rockets and sticky spammage!

Also, I can't help but feel in the last 4-5 hours of post-patch play that the rocket splash damage has been silently nerfed again. Either that or I was just having a terribly unlucky day, rockets seemed to do meagre splash damage this afternoon on anything that wasn't a gibbing direct-hit. Very strange.

Oh and also the usual poorly-optimized performance issues to complain. I hate losing frames needlessly whenever they make some completely arbirtrary and unimportant game-changes; I do not want to sacrifice 5fps of fluid playability for a Level 3 teleporter to have a slightly different animation, thank you very much!

Apparently the gibbing change was along the lines of you need to do more damage to get the gib kill now. The vast majority of my explosives kills still result in gibs. I rarely get a ragdoll kill from one.

Nothing was changed with regards to splash or any other game mechanic aside from the ones listed.

I apologize for the fact that the TF2 community dislikes pointless and uncalled-for changes. The gibbing thing... just, why? Seeing fleshy giblets fly everywhere was part of the comic action-frenzy of TF2, now all I see after landing a well placed rocket is some pathetic slouch-over animation. Weaaaaak.

I like it. I like the fact that now I don't know whats going to happen.

I also like random uncalled-for changes. It keeps things interesting and means the gameplay is always evolving .

I appreciate your point but removing awesome effects and gibs is not 'evolution' or 'interesting change'. It introduces nothing new, doesn't further the game-development at all; it's useless. Gibs and comically-intricate 'Your Spleen -->' captions are some of the small details that make this game so iconic and recognisable- it was basically part of the art/design direction. I am extremely depressed at the thought of these comic moments cropping up much less often now!

Actually I was just playing Gold Rush, and had a bunch of stickies on the other side of a door frame and waiting for an enemy to come through. When one did it was a Blu demoman. I set them off and his ragdoll went hurtling right across the room into the far wall. It was hilarious.

I set the trap again, this time an Engy came through. He was gibbed. I preferred the Demoman's death, but i'm happy that both are there.

I just realized that the scout will be the first class that has a pistol to get upgrades.  I'm curious to see Valve's creativity.
