Anyway. This is how you get Splitscreen up and running online and off on the PC version of Left 4 Dead. 1 K+B and one 360 controller (other combinations are no doubt possible but thats whats in the guide). I just tried for the first time (had to borrow a wired 360 controller off a friend because my wireless ones need an adaptor before i can connect them to the PC) and it worked perfectly .
Am I allowed to copy basically the entire OP from that thread? Is it allowed if I reference it. Usually I wouldn't mind but its a pretty big post. So until I get some sort of confirmation on that you all have that link.

I wish valve could've just added it as an option in the menu, but deliberately leaving the code in for the community to figure out was the next best thing . More PC games should allow split screen. There's no reason not to and its just as fun as it is on a console.
So yeah if anyone wants to, have fun with that . I know I will with my flatmates.
Here's a random screenshot I took straight away to instantly show it works . You can of course have vertical splitscreen instead of horizontal, for widescreen monitors and such. Also it'll make my OP more interesting.
