I have a kickass weekend lined up (yes this is a shameless gloating thread!). First thing on Saturday I'm flying out to London where I will be going straight to the Emirates stadium to watch Arsenal play Wigan; then I will be going to directly to the ExcEl Arena to watch Amir Khan, Enzo Maccarinelli, Audley Harrison and possibly Herbie Hide taking part in some world title boxing action; then to round off the weekend I will be attending the Forum in Kentish Town for a rare live performance by San Francisco band The Residents!

Bring it on!!!

Anyone else doing anything cool this weekend?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
