Right, these piss me off. Every now and then, while ingame, the game will freeze for up to 15 seconds. Typically this seems to happen when a new kind of sound is played so I take it is the game caching sounds incorrectly. Setting audio settings to low did not help. Nor did any graphic setting changes.

From what I can figure, the issue would be related software or my Integrated Realtek Audio. Can't seem to be able to fix it though

Also this did not occur in the demo, when I only had one of those 8800GT's and older graphics drivers. Could that be the cause?

Main specs:
2x 8800GT @ 650/1625/900 (Not SLI)
E2180 @ 3GHz
2GB of DDR2
P5N-E SLI (650i)

Running XP Pro 32-bit

Any help would be appreciated.

Try playing without sound, just mute before you enter the game. It's causing the same issue for Fallout 3, for me.

It's something to do with dual core support. There is a way to disable it. Thats what was wrong with my mine.

I know that problem. It's caused by the latest Nvidia drivers. You need to roll them back to 178.24.

Ah I have 180.24 at the moment. I'll try reverting. If it works, thanks a lot

I don't think I had fully updated Nvidia drivers and I was having this problem during the demo, with a single 8800GT.

It was really frickin gay.
