This is the worst I've had with a pc game. In my 13 years of dedicated pc gaming I've had a couple of issues with games but those were just small hiccups really (some of the most annying ones I had were with Fallout 2, ironically). This thing just went nuclear.Poseidon wrote:
That's exactly why I bought the 360 version. Problems installing FC2 made me skeptical and I wasn't going to be stopped from playing by my computer/Vista. So, no problems.Rosse_modest wrote:
Gawd I should have bought the more expensive Xbox version.
But hey, atleast there's minimum DRM, eh?Rosse_modest wrote:

It was a console based game where the 360 was the lead platform. Hence why I wasn't going to get it for the PC. Although I had originally pre-ordered it for the PC, but switched over like 1 1/2 weeks before.
I've found it to be much easier to just get multiplats on the 360 or PS3 nowadays. No hassle with installation, and you play within minutes.
That's why I love Steam so much. There's rarely a hassle. I would've gotten FC2 on Steam if I thought I could've gotten the 5 extra bonus missions that GameStop gave.

Finished the game.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Did all three endings, Went in and didn't install the FEV, Went in and installed the FEV, and let Lyons go in. Lackluster at best. Thankfully I saved right before I went into the rotunda, so I can still play. Tesla armor is sick buzz, but I still wanna go and get the T51b. Finished it at level 18, wanna get to 20 and have fun with that.
Overall 9.5, and thats only because of the ending.
Make sure you get that perk that reveals all the locations. You cant fast-travel to them but atleast you know where what is. You can spend a month travelling around...Stimey wrote:

I don't think it was too bad with accuracy, then again, I like to run up point blank to enemies and circle strafe them. About the ammo consumption, hell yeah it rips.Sydney wrote:

Do you have surround sound? I have a similar issue and I have to adjust the speakers settings.xRBLx wrote:

I just got repeatedly raped by fire ant guardians, the lack of an ammo at all forced me to use a baseball bat and turn them into burgers.
It's much better on PC. I have both versions.Poseidon wrote:

Awesome game. Best for a good few years. Shame the main story line is a bit short and the ending isn't better done - but I loved Liberty Prime, he was cool.
I got a bit thrown in at the deep end, since I didn't spot Megaton when I left the vault (I have no idea how I didn't see it, it's so fucking obvious) and headed straight for DC, cutting out what seems to be a big chunk of the game.

To blow up megaton, or not to blow up megaton? That is the question.
I'm thinking bout doing the quests from there, then sending it sky high

Megaton is better than tenpenny. A lot more and better quests, better npcs, better house, etc.. Blowing up Megaton is blowing up the best town in the game basically.
fucking insects scaring the shit out of me.
War never changes.

How many extra side quests are there available from Tenpenny after you blow up Megaton?
Because from what I've read, the Wasteland Survival Guide sidequest from Moira can still be done, because she supposedly becomes a ghoul after the explosion and moves to the ghoul city Underworld.
I have spared Megaton to do all sidequest, but I have slaughtered almost everyone in the Tenpenny tower, because Tenpenny himself attacked me after a failed pickpocket attempt on him.
Can you actually get any other side quests apart from eradicating the ghouls in the tunnels? Have I missed anything because of my sensless killings?
Just finished and dunno why people don't like the ending. Thought it was pretty good.

The only tenpenny quests I found were 1)blow up megaton & 2)kill the ghouls. I'm not absolutely positive there aren't other quests besides that but i'm pretty sure because I didn't find any more and I also read somewhere that there were only two.

I think it was lame that it was just black & white still photos. Pretty short as well. Also, the different endings are just slightly altered versions of the same thing. For a game that good the ending was a letdown.
