CoD:5 not working/crashing...

I have a beta key for cod world at war but it crash every time i start it...

Is it because i need directx10 or it's another problem?

I was missing d3dx9_37.dll i dwlded the file and put in the windows/system, the .dll error don't appear anymore but it crash...

Any idea???

Had the same problem. Install latest dx9 dist from microsoft.com

you need to update to the latest directx drivers. It's not a directX10 issue as cod5 doesntt use it.

i whae the same problem, but i reinstall the directx9 and it steel don't work?
and i have add tje dll file in the corect plase...

1/4 of my screen is black and then i get the Error!

I can run the game but cant join a server
The game keeps switching me from online to offline constantly, and even when Im online I cant connect..... meh.....

Not sure what my processor is, I do need to upgrade my computer though that is for sure. But I got that at startup after I got the d3dx9_37.dll problem solved.
