But don't these people already have ways to get out of this city?
No.

won't the hospital send it's patients to another hospital?
Yes, but only because the hospital is there specifically to help them.

Why is it that 20% of people that qualified for non sub-prime loans were given sub-prime loans with option arms?

It is because that was all that was being written.

I like how conservative are saying something to the effect ;
" you should have known that under republican deregulation you should have known the banks were going to fuck you and just kept renting."
Why do you think that the people who qualified for non-sub-prime loans signed loan papers for sub-prime loans with option ARMS? You think they weren't paying attention or something? They did it, knowing the risk they were incurring. That risk came home to roost and they paid for it.

Yeah...like those who chose to go with ARMs when they could've easily gone with a locked-in rate.

No, no burning them; then they are too crunchy.  I like mine a bit chewy, with the center a bit undercooked.

gg Bush.

See? This is how those bastards tag team us.

Bush, pretending to be a fiscal conservative lead us into a socialist state of our financial affairs. He gave the presidency massive new powers after 9-11. Those do not expire when he leaves office.

And, finally, he has made such a disaster of the republican party that Obama will be catapulted into office in a Reaganesqe landslide and moreso;
he will have a mandate

The backlash against the republicans will also cost them seats in the house and senate and give Obama as many as 3-4 supreme court judges.

I go on record here; Obama the "uber-liberal" will use the " bush recession " to usher in a new and as yet unimagined police state and world events will make him the war time president of war time presidents.

4 justices? lol

2, if that.  keep it balanced.  as it is, the court is looking to be conservative.

It's fairly balanced right now: 4 lefties, 4 righties, and 1 middle-of-the-roader.

Which one do you suppose gave the salesman the bigger bonus?

Banks need to be regulated, and dim people shouldn't sign stuff.

And? No one ever said the mortgage lenders didn't shoulder some of the blame as well. But then again, I guess we can't have personal accountability. It wounds inner children and stuff.

Some regulation in some sectors of the market? Absolutely.

Are you saying there needs to be a test to determine if someone is smart enough to own a home now?
