What do you mean by financial crisis?  It is a very broad term.
The entire finacial structure is having a meltdown ... and yes that is a broad problem ...

Some people have problems paying their mortgage - the banks doesn't get the steady money flow into the system - the banks are nerveous because they can't loan eachother the money they thought they would have - the stocks are falling increasing the same problem - the bigger banks that normally would lend the smaller banks doesn't get their money thus they don't have the money they thought they would have ...

It's a snowball effect of people with panic tbh ...

The point I am making is that there are more similarities to 1987 and now than he realizes.  There has been an overvaluation of property over time which actually caused the illiquidity of the housing market.  All this has lead to a Market psycology that is in a panic mode.

There are similarities yes but in 1987 is was more of a brutal shock where the stocks plummeted in value fast but the foundation was stronger and the economy rescued itself relatively good with the minor bump in 1989 incident as a correction ...

What we see now is a broad uncertainty that is spread throughout the entire financial spectre ... similarities yes but really not even in comparison to 1987 ...

A wall street broker said it well: 1987 was a heart attack, what we see now is more like pancreatic cancer ...

Who needs a bailout plan. Just say "everything is going to be fine" and that's it. These markets work on what certain people say and think, not what actually happens, so all you have to do is make sure said people say the right things. $700bn saved right there.

The Dow is up 485.21 points today, I wonder why, the bailout plan didn't pass and the foundations of the US economy didn't change.

No, it is them counting their chickens before they hatch again. Wall street is assuming the money is coming.
Looks like they really have learned their lesson, huh?
The only way some people learn is by hitting rock bottom, Wall street needs to hit rock bottom.
Until there is responsible greed on Wall Street this shit will happen again.

That bailout plan needs to go forward and work, it's not just to bail out rich bankers, it's to prop up the entire us economy, and also the economies of quite a few others. It has a big effect on the rest of the world, the us needs to sort itself out before anyone else can, so try seeing past your own noses for a change, a thinking of others.

Yeah your right, let's just blindly follow again! Sounds great!

Steel attic, playing card foundation, delaying the inevitable etc

We have to let the economy fix itself, not keep putting bandages on it that end up falling off.

Sealxo where are you getting that statistic? I pay federal tax and I'm sure as fuck not rich.

Really?  $700B is going to "prop up the entire US economy?"  How big is the US economy, again?

No it's just rising on speculation. Which brings me to say, just keep on saying good things that keeps the markets happy and you won't have to spend a dime to fix anything. These people aren't probably as educated as you think. Like I said before, they go on what people say, not what's actually happening (same shit with oil price).

Did anyone else find it ridiculous that congress was suspended yesterday for a Jewish holiday? I mean shit, how many Jews are there? And why are they fucking taking holidays, religious or not, in a time like this?

I'm more pissed about the suspension period. Could give a rat's ass over what flavor of holiday it is. Others in the federal govt (like the military) have to work on holidays...particularly if the mission demands it. Those fucking losers need to find new jobs in the retail sales sector.

Yeah, even if it was at the time of Christmas/New Year, they shouldn't do this. Not when the country like this. It just shows that these people are putting their religious beliefs ahead of their country (it's important, because they're politicians, and it shouldn't be so). At least we all know where they stand now.

Since the majority aren't Jewish, it has nothing to do with their religious beliefs. They're just lazy bastards with no sense of propriety.
