You're telling me if I question Obamas policies or religion out there, I could be arrested? He has a legal team watching what republican ads get on tv?

My dad still can't make himself say "I'm gonna vote for the black feller"...but he will anyways. This weekend was a break-through, after the debate he affectionately referred to Obama as "Buckwheat" and that he's voting Democrat this year. I think that's about as close as we're gonna get to him admitting he'll vote for a black guy. My step-mom really wants to like "Calamity Jane", but she's still sore after she put in about 2 weeks volunteer work for Ron Paul.God Save the Queen wrote:
my republican mother told me that friday's debate comepletely turned her away from mccain.
That would be fine, I guess he can sit next to everyone else in jail then huh?Braddock wrote:
Hang on... am I mistaken or is Obama just asking for existing law to be enforced as regards false claims and defamation? No?
This Gov. seems pretty bent out of shape;Braddock wrote:

http://governor.mo.gov/cgi-bin/coranto/ … ?id=EkkkVF“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.
“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.
“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.
“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”
So that is all he is asking for, yes?lowing wrote:

Well from what I can gather it would just be stories that are based in fact and not on false or slanderous tales.SGT_Dicklewicz wrote:
So it would be Obama's Truth?
I can see it now a Truth committee in Washington deciding what you should and shouldn't believe.
Yeah I could do all that or just vote for McCain.Braddock wrote:

Why have these laws in the first place if so many people seem to dislike them so much? If you are so disgusted by these laws then you should be campaigning to get them repealed not giving out because someone is seeking to have them enforced.
half of the obama commercials are falsities or just taking advantage of peoples ignorance. for example, "john mccain votes with GWB 90% of the time" is true, but is just taking advantage of peoples ignorance, because 90% of senate votes are unanimous bullshit votes such as commemerating harriet tubman and teh gators for winning the tostitos bowl.oug wrote:
Guess it's fine to take legal action against an ad that may be spreading lies about him, but people? That's a bit far fetched no?
Not to mention the name... Truth squad ffs?
The key to those statistics would be what he actually doesn't side with Bush on...what does he go against the bulk of his party on?SealXo wrote:

Is McCain promising to repeal these laws if he gets into office?SGT_Dicklewicz wrote:
