Dad wants a quad core rig to replace the 5 year old machine he has at the moment.

He uses it for web development, He wants a quad, 2 gb ram, and vista home prem x64

He was looking around £250 however i dont think that will be easy to meet.

I hace vita OEM, can i install it on his aswell as mind with out problems. and thats £250 without OS..

Any ideas?

You don't need a quad core rig for web development, tbh. Even so, £250 is pushing it.

Yup, if you use a lot of your old machine (Case, PSU, HD's etc) maybe, and you can only install vista one 1 machine.  No getting around it like XP.

It logs your motherboard serial.  If you install it on another machine it will void both copies.  So you will need another OS.
