[Crysis] Crysis warhead more playable than predecessor? ---->ORLY?

I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one. Crytek said it would be playable yet I see no gains in performance over the last one.

If poor framerates ruined the last one for you, stay away from this one as well. But if you enjoyed the previous title, then this one is worth the $30. There is more fast paced action, better music, and tons of koreans for you to kill(albeit, easily[no really, they drop from like 2 bullets on delta])

9800gtx
4 gigs 800mhz ddr2

I still haven't even finished the first game, yet for some odd reason I feel like buying this one, too. Glad I came across this thread in the moments before leaving for Fry's to spend my paycheck I got today

(But will see if some PSP games or other PC games lure me more than this game)

I was running it on "gamer"(high) with a resolution of 1600*1050 I believe.

I said "last game" as in the first Crysis. I don't know if it will work or not, I read somewhere else that you could replace the config files with no issue, but I haven't tried it. Hopefully xGj will just make a new one for Warhead

Ah see I took "last game" to mean either Crysis 1, or the last game of warhead you played with those settings, so thought I'd ask.

Alright, I just tried it. Works great, the game looks amazing (well, even more so). Just copy and paste the autoexec.cfg file over from where it installs on Crysis to the same folder in the Crysis Warhead directory.

With me I really had a "performance Boost" 40~50 Fps instead of 20~30.
But It could also be the hardware update's I always install
It sorta runs on high .

Crytek have changes the settings names at Minimum (Low), Mainstream (Medium), Gamer (High), Enthusiast (Ultra High).

Btw i just played Crysis on 1920 resolution all on Enthusiast settings

I can run the whole thing without lag on Gamer (haven't tried Enthusiast) except for that mission just after you come out of the carrier. All that transparent ice plays havoc with the card.
