Gore would have been a spectacular and unmitigated disaster. Economic destruction from unnecessary green fanaticism, gutless cut and run democrat foreign policy and the world's most boring speeches.
And we all know boring speeches are bad for the economy.

Why guess about it? Here's the opinion of Al Gore hisself
I'm glad though that Bush has led to most Americans paying more attention to this next election. I actually believe (read hope) that voter turn out is the highest in decades.
And without Bush, we wouldn't be having the ultimate show down of Obama\McCain

Al Gore would be shitting in his pants and be under his desk after 9/11
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

For having an economy in balance, for not being hated across the globe ?
I'm not sure how it would have been with Gore but i do know he would have had a hard time doing worse than Bush ...
I knew Obama and Tyson are alike.Lotta_Drool wrote:

you mean like......fifteen minutes after it was clear the United States was under terrorist attack—did President Bush sit down with a classroom of second-graders and begin a 20-minute pre-planned photo op?War Man wrote:

Give Bush a break. That was a difficult enough book to read as it was, let alone having to deal with the terrorist attack at the same time.m3thod wrote:

Word. Not that I think Gore would have been a particularly great president, it would have been nice to have one with a sense of humour.Ajax_the_Great1 wrote:

And that is the truth. This thread ended there.TheAussieReaper wrote:

I tend to agree...I believe partisan politics is a very real problem here right now. I think it's the reason for such polarity in our nation right now...the candidates end up being so diametrically opposed that there is no middle ground, commonalities...and in my opinion....reason.Lotta_Drool wrote:

Yeah, things would be soooooo different right now.
I'm no PolySci major but I say the hell with the parties and the electoral college. You can, through your campaign declare conservative or liberal leanings, but I'm sick of Repub v. Demo.

Yes the world would be different. We would have a liberal pussy pandering to it.

Nice qualification there, "per capita." Granted, even there, China will be overtaking the US within a decade, and India not far behind. Will you be going so hard after them when they do, or will the US still be your target, rammu- I mean, AussieReaper?TheAussieReaper wrote:

Hey guys I think we should blame the most visible person possible for our problems instead of addressing the underlying issues, sounds like fun k?
Oh wait you guys beat me to it.
Oh wait you guys beat me to it.
Oh, dear. Michael Moore propaganda rears it's ugly head again.m3thod wrote:

Before he went into the photo op, all he knew was that a plane hit the WTC. No details, not even the size of the plane. Then he sat there in front of the kiddies with a book in his hands, while all of the reporters were getting updates on their blackberries. The people filming the President knew more about what was going on then the President did, and they filmed it for all they were worth. Once someone whispered an update into his ear, he took off.
I know, I know. You don't want to hear about that. You like your version better; that is why no one wants to look at the events too closely. All Hail Michael Moore.
You failed to see my point, that Australia was a terrible example when it came to responsible emission reduction targets, which were ZERO, because China and the US were used as a scapegoat by our former Prime Minister.imortal wrote:

No we won't be trying to keep up with India and China. What the fuck are you talking about? Clearly you failed to read the rest of my post which said that our new Govt. ratified Kyoto immediately upon winning the last election.
How dumb are you?
