So I'm not the only one that's noticed that too. It's quite fucking freaky. Maybe these Mayans actually knew what they were talking about.:ronin:.|Patton wrote:

A bit of a concern, to be sure. Genetic manipulation may be needed as a last resort...

They're not dying out, they're just turning invisible. INVISIBLE BEES
The mayans never knew that the world was going to end, they simply recorded the exact time that the earth will be DIRECTLY in the centre of the galaxy ( or the milky way or wateva ) this apparently means that there will be a a higher chance of a solar flare hitting earth and instantly evaporating all life on the planet. Cant be bothered researching at the moment but look it up, its true.

A cross between the European Honey Bee and some other killer bee. Natural/man...Poseidon wrote:

I thought some guy said it was when the calendar just ended... and instead of humans dying and whatnot... we just learn new skils and stuff.steelie34 wrote:

a solar flare seems like the least of our worries.
On the exact date the Mayan calender ends, the winter solstice is "aligned" with the Milky Way. To the day. Maybe the calender ended because they were so good at astronomy, they could see this event happening as far as millenniums away. An event only happens every 26,000 years . Pretty much what I said earlier.

No it's not when we'll be in the centre of the galaxy. It's when the earth will be in-line with the center of the galaxy on the horizontal plane. As in, we'll be right in the middle of the thickness/height of the galaxy. Not in the middle of the galaxy itself.steelie34 wrote:
