my father and I are in the same boat. beans (not the mexican cuisine kind), fish, chicken (all prepared at home), noodles, are all good. cut out all fats and take sherbet over ice cream. for snacks hit up fruits and vegetables or pretzels (like rold gold's). supplement with fish oil (great for the heart, cholesterol) vitamins, and metamucil. last one is optional but great for the colon.

it should be noted that red meat is bad for people a genetic disposition for heart problems. can't get away from the stuff. also i usually have a chicken sandwich (lunchmeat, but its delicious and lean and way better than turkey) with sourdough bread. skip the cheese, its fatty.

Been the opposite for me.
Now that I'm running I'm constantly hungry. Granted I've been eating really light. Whenever I get hungry I'll just eat a few carrots or a few chips or something, stuff that'll at least let me go an hour without getting hungry again, but even at that I'll eat a sandwhich for lunch of something like that and i'll still be hungry.

I'm one of those unlucky bastards who has to exercise if they want to stay reasonably fit.

I eat healthy as fuck, fresh fruit and veg, plenty of fish, but my downfall is that I also love a drink on the weekend.  That's what would cause me to gain weight, so to combat that I do 90 mins every other day at the gym.  If I didnt I'd probably look like Cougar.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
