someone that has no experience with knives is just as dangerous as someone that does.
here in the states, the police have something called "The 21 foot rule".
if someone is within 21 feet of you and they have a knife, they are just as lethal as if they had a gun.
attempting to disarm someone without a weapon is stupid. unless you are a pro, or in hollywood.
bum rushing someone would be a great way to have an extra hole in you...or two....or lose your guts. none of those wounds take skill, and could simply be from someone falling on the blade.

RIP Cryan
well, I wouldnt say just as lethal.
pace out 21 feet, then see how fast you can run dive and lunge a blade to that mark.
it always surprises me how fast im able to do it....much quicker than me drawing my gun.

@GS- cant argue that.
FM- you have a much better chance of deflecting a blow with a magazine than with your torso.

and an even better chance of snapping that guy's neck while he was stabbing the guy "like a robot".Parker wrote:

They had him outnumbered like none other. They let that man be decapitated. Your life is no more valuable than that victims, they should have done something.
No, you're bum rushing a guy who is very focused on stabbing and mutilating the person next to him. Based on the story, that he got on after his seat mate, he was on the outside. This means he's facing away from the alleyway. Not to mention, unless he's at the far back which I don't see any indication yay or nay, people were running past all this and the guy didn't react to the people behind him.Parker wrote:

It's stupid because if they didn't know they could, gee I dunno, bum rush the fucker then the knowledge of using a magazine as a weapon is worthless.
now that IS stupid.
What do you want to bet someone had some car keys, a cell phone, an ipod, a book, or anything hard to smack the guy on the back of the head with?
Do not forget it was on a fucking bus. This is not in the middle of a grassy field and he was crazy, not some assassin that will whip around before your blood can hit the ground (or any other dramatic metaphor for fast as shit).
The 36 other people had a massive advantage. Yes it would have been risky, but it could have saved someone's life.
Fucking infuriating.
3 point position. Use my speed to my advantage. 10 feet out jump, point both feet squarely at chest.
Listen to satisfying thump as that fuckface hits the ground. Mount. Punch the shit out of his face til my hands break.
/Hero.

what if it was some intricate mob hit
most people freeze in stressful situations. It's natural human reaction. It's why emergency responders and soldiers require so much training and conditioning to be effective.

I'm not saying I would have helped him, you just can't know what you would do in that situation. I can say I would have had my knife with me, and I hope I would have helped someone in need.
I would have shot him

I know I would. I aspire to be placed into challenging/risky situations, which is probably why I get injured so much.
I think I took this away from ATG's suicide thread, where he said something along the lines of "Whatever you doing, you've got to do it to your fullest potential because you never know when you'll leave this world." Something like that, but I've kinda kept that as my code for life since then and it's worked, it really has.

Aspiring to be placed in challenging/risky situations doesn't mean that I would rush headlong at 3 men armed with sawed off shotguns, jackass. It's called assessing the risk factor and then deciding whether to act or not, in this case, I would've done something.
Your posts are really funny, btw.
