Only thing I would throw in, is ACOGs and Reddot sites are standard issue now for the US. But when this comes out I might re-install BF2 just to play.

0.8 will be released when it's done .  The devs will never give out an estimate as to when their release version will come out.

marines and army got acogs for m16 and m4, and red dot sight some of the weapons, can't remember exactly which kits, but almost all kits got optics.

Yeah, the US have had ACOGs and red dot sights for a while now.
M4A1 Carbine, red dot - Spec Ops
M16A4 with ACOG - Riflemen and Officer
M16A4 with Iron Sights - Riflemen, Rifleman AT, Anti-Aircraft Rifleman, Combat Medic, and Combat Engineer
M16A4 with ACOG and M203 - Grenadier (for 0.8)

Thats some of the nicest animations i've seen in a mod ever.  It really makes me want to play the game but I can't stand how slow the game is played.  Wish there were more CQC maps.

Some new updates:
[Gameplay] Game modes
AAS v3

In this third installment of Advance And Secure, we include random control points. Inspired by the Insurgency game mode, the addition of randomness to a game mode provides great replayablity with different set of objectives each time you play. Of course, it won't be as random as Insurgency, but still adds different takes on several maps.

Operation Barracuda will be the poster boy for this new feature and a few other maps will include random cps in some layers.

Yeah but the point of PR isn't to be fast paced, it's to be realistic.

Ya' see, PR is so committed to realism that even silly things like fun, good pacing, smooth design, balance and not being overly frustrating are unimportant.
