Nice.crecente - Right now we have about two million creatures. The number of unique creatures in Spore has now exceeded the total known species on earth.
crecente - Whoah, a Companion Cube creature!

The creature creator is dull, not even a fraction of the entire game, spore itself will be brilliantSpidery_Yoda wrote:

I'm suprisingly not interested in Spore. The creature creator demo was fun for a few days but that was it. For me at least.Nice.crecente - Right now we have about two million creatures. The number of unique creatures in Spore has now exceeded the total known species on earth.

Yup, the FF announcement was an epic fail for Sony.Poseidon wrote:
Unless they come up with the fact that the PS3 can cure cancer, I don't see them overshadowing MS. That FF announcement was gigantic.
They have to have kept things under MAJOR wraps to surprise people, just as MS did with FF. NOBODY expected that. Everything else was just about predicted.

You need exclusives for the very same reason you just pointed out very well. When you pick one console or the other you compare the hardware, the online content maybe, and the games line-up for sure. So, if every game is out there for every system it wouldn't be the same. You need exclusives to make people buy your console. For the PS user nothing really changes if X360 users have FF, but for Sony it does.Spidery_Yoda wrote:
I agree that exclusives arent very good. It just means lots of people won't be able to play them.
I was thinking just that before when Serge said that the FF announcement was bad. I thought: Its bad for Sony, yes, but for him a PS3 owner? No difference.
But on the other hand there's always that feeling. As much as I like to try and be open minded and unbiased, there's always that little feeling of "Aha! Exclusive!" whenever your console gets an exclusive. Hmmm. I think third party exclusives need to be gotten rid of really. It just causes grief for people who own one console, and elitism in those that own the console that gets whichever game is being discussed at the time.

Very true. When I picked the 360 (just after christmas) I chose it because of its games. I knew i'd be buying unreliable hardware and having to put up with a charged online service, but it had (and still has IMO) better games than the PS3. Plus I prefer the 360 controller. If they both had the same 3rd party games then I may have made a different choice.sergeriver wrote:
