Are you Satisfied with the Pyro Updates? Me Personally I'm 50/50 For one I like what they Did with the Pyro but Not the way they went about doing it. I'll update tomorrow because I have work in 6 hours.

I love the pyro. did before, and now it's much more fun. They do need to fix the backburner though, I swear the registry is all messed up and doesnt know the difference between the back and the front sometimes. I rarely use it though, the compression blast is just way too damn fun. love blowing people off of stuff. i think hydro is one of my new maps now, just because of the fact that i can blow people off of the cliff in the middle of one of the levels.
It's a cool update. Of course i don't play this game too much either.
Yeah, I really like it. There are a few things I would have changed, such as the flare gun's power - it needs to be a lot more powerful - it takes off little health from a direct hit and the enemy rarely stays on fire for long, and the +50 health for the backburner seems a bit much.

I prefer the standard flamethrower.Very useful for the team.Blowing off ubered people from reaching our sentries.Its just too much fun!

As much as I love the update and everything in it, I voted other.
I think the removal of damage dropoff on the flamethrower was overkill, and makes the pyro far too powerful at close quarters.
But I love everything else.

Simply because at the moment their content distribution system (i.e. one class at a time spread over over relatively long intervals) is fundamentally flawed. However, when every class has had their share of Valve developer loving, I'm sure the game will be 'better' as such for public play. Whether or not the competitive leagues take to the new introductions, only time will tell...
All I know for now is that the Pyro compressed air blast really ruins league set-ups of Gravelpit . Impossible to take Point C in such a small amount of time with Pyro's pushing you off constantly!

I really enjoyed playing pyro when TF2 first came out probably because almost no one played it. I tend to opt toward taking whatever class is lacking on my team (which is usually scout now). I used the shotgun effectively a LOT more than I used the flamethrower, so I thought that the pyro was pretty balanced before the update. The removal of the damage dropoff was the worst part of the update in my opinion. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with the pyro update. The new maps are awesome.

I have 33/38 achievements atm.
I found a tactic with the new "Axtinguisher", one player sets an enemy on fire, the other kills the enemy with the axe's 100% critical hit rate.

Since they've removed the damage drop off, yes I am .
However i'm still not sure about the +50 health that the Backburner gives. It seems a bit excessive to expect a demoman or soldier to land 3 direct hits on an incoming Pyro before he gets to them. But I guess its just something we'll have to get used to.
